"Travis Kelce Announces Return to Kansas City Chiefs for 13th NFL Season"

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce has officially announced his return for another NFL season in a way only he could.
On Thursday, the "New Heights" podcast X account—run by Kelce and his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles lineman Jason Kelce—shared the news directly from the source.
"From the desk of @tkelce: IT'S TIME FOR YEAR 13," the post read, confirming Kelce's decision. He is expected to discuss his return in more detail on the next episode of the podcast, set to release next week.
Earlier in the day, ESPN host Pat McAfee broke the news on The Pat McAfee Show by reading a text from Kelce himself.
"I'm coming back for sure," Kelce wrote. "Gonna try to get into the best shape I've been in this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!"
Kelce’s longtime teammate and quarterback Patrick Mahomes responded to the news with a GIF from The Last Dance, showing his excitement.
With three Super Bowl victories, 10 consecutive Pro Bowl selections, and four first-team All-Pro honors, Kelce has enjoyed remarkable success both on and off the field. His career has expanded into podcasting, acting, endorsements, and more. And, of course, he’s currently dating one of the world’s most famous women.
Despite his impressive achievements, Kelce briefly considered retirement after the Chiefs' Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last month. On his New Heights podcast, he admitted he was taking time to reflect before making any "crazy decisions" about his future.
"I know everyone wants to know if I’m playing next year, and right now, I’m just kicking everything down the road," Kelce said at the time. "The biggest thing for me is being there for my teammates and my coaches. There’s a lot that goes into this game."
Acknowledging the physical toll of playing deep into the postseason year after year, Kelce reflected on the sacrifices required. "Going to multiple AFC Championships and Super Bowls means playing extra games, and that’s a lot of wear and tear on your body. The process can be grueling—it can make you better, but it can also drive you crazy."
Ultimately, Kelce has decided he isn’t done just yet. Year 13 is on the horizon.
