"Thousands of Acres Ablaze in Los Angeles: Wildfires Rage On"

Wildfires continue to devastate several areas of Los Angeles, fueled by high winds and extremely dry conditions, spreading across thousands of acres.
Firefighters have so far been unable to contain the flames. A fire official told on Thursday that the blazes are still rapidly expanding.
The largest wildfire, located in the Pacific Palisades area, home to many celebrities, has become the most destructive fire in Los Angeles' history, with over 1,000 buildings reduced to rubble.
The situation is evolving rapidly. These maps and images highlight the spread of the fires, their current locations, and how they appear from space.
Additional fires erupted on Wednesday, including one in the Hollywood Hills area overlooking Hollywood. Roads near the affected areas were blanketed in thick smoke, and Hollywood Boulevard, famous for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was gridlocked with traffic as residents rushed to evacuate.
