Sir Keir Starmer to Spend New Year’s Abroad

Sir Keir Starmer has faced criticism for traveling abroad several times since becoming prime minister. This upcoming trip will mark his first international break since taking office.
A Downing Street spokesperson confirmed that Starmer plans to spend time with his family in the coming days. However, rather than staying at Downing Street or their family home, the Starmers will first retreat to the grace-and-favor residence of Chequers in Buckinghamshire for Christmas Day.
Following their stay at Chequers, the prime minister and his family are expected to travel abroad for New Year’s Day. The exact destination has not been disclosed.
