Winning the Masters brings numerous honors—an iconic green jacket, a prestigious trophy, and millions in prize money. But an additional perk comes a year later when the reigning champion gets to curate the menu for the exclusive Masters Champions Dinner at Augusta National.

This tradition allows only past Masters winners to attend, gathering in the clubhouse to enjoy a meal chosen by the previous year’s champion.

For 2024, Scottie Scheffler takes on the role of host after securing his second Masters title last year, finishing four strokes ahead of Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg. With his first victory in 2022, Scheffler already had the opportunity to craft his dream menu in 2023—and this year’s selections show that his tastes have remained consistent.

Once again, the menu features cheeseburger sliders, customized in "Scottie-style," alongside firecracker shrimp as appetizers. A third starter pays homage to a recent personal incident—“Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites.” This choice references Scheffler’s Christmas Day mishap, where he accidentally punctured his right hand while rolling ravioli dough with a wine glass. The injury required surgery and forced him to miss the start of the season.

Born in New Jersey but raised in Texas, Scheffler incorporates a taste of his adopted home state with a first-course selection of Texas-style chili, served with corn chips, cheese, and jalapeños.

For the main course, he sticks with last year’s choices—Texas ribeye steak or blackened redfish—before rounding off the meal with a familiar favorite: warm chocolate chip skillet cookies with vanilla ice cream.

Scheffler’s Texas-inspired menu contrasts sharply with last year’s Spanish-themed selection, chosen by 2023 champion Jon Rahm. Rahm, with the help of renowned chef José Andrés, crafted a menu inspired by the Basque region of Spain.

Many past champions have used their dinner menus to pay tribute to their heritage. In 2022, Hideki Matsuyama honored Japan with a selection that featured Miyazaki Wagyu steak, sushi, and Japanese strawberry shortcake.

This year’s Masters Champions Dinner is set for April 8, two days before the tournament begins. As Scheffler aims for a third Masters victory, he has the chance to become the first golfer since Tiger Woods in 2002 to successfully defend the title. After a lackluster performance at the Players Championship, where he finished tied for 20th, he’ll be hoping a taste of home fuels his first win of the season.
