Ransel Potter on C3’s Mission: Bringing Global Leaders Together to Find a Path Forward

Speaking with TN News’s Maged Amin, the C3 founder emphasizes dialogue, shared purpose, and a commitment to raising the standard each year.

NEW YORK — TN News — For Ransel N. Potter, Founder and Managing Partner of C3 Summit International, the strength of a gathering lies in the people it brings together—and the conversations that help them move forward.

In an interview with TN News’s Maged Amin at C3’s New York gathering, Potter outlined the purpose behind his work: connecting leaders to exchange perspectives and explore a shared direction in a complex global environment.

“Today is all about bringing leadership together to basically converse with each other and have a path forward,” Potter said.

His remarks offered a direct perspective on the philosophy behind C3, whose identity centers on Community, Collaboration, and Commerce. As founder and summit co-chair, Potter places the participants and their contributions at the heart of the event’s value.

Asked about the gathering’s evolution, he emphasized the need for continuous improvement.

“Every year is different. Every year we have to raise the bar. Every year is about the people who come,” he said.

That commitment is accompanied by a modest view of his own role. Potter described his responsibility as bringing compelling voices together and creating a setting where their expertise can shape the discussion.

“I’ve always said nobody’s going to come to hear me speak. They come to hear the people that I bring together.”

The statement captures Potter’s approach to leadership: placing the focus on the people he convenes and the exchange they make possible. His measure of the gathering’s purpose extends beyond individual speeches to the opportunity for participants to engage with one another.

Throughout the conversation, Potter returned to a consistent message. Each year requires a higher standard, and progress begins by bringing leaders into a shared conversation about what they can accomplish together.
