New York – In a warm and spiritually uplifting Ramadan atmosphere, the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) – New York Branch hosted its annual Iftar reception, bringing together a distinguished group of diplomatic leaders and community figures.

The event was led by Mr. Khaled El Ghorab, General Manager of the National Bank of Egypt – New York Branch, and was attended by H.E. Ambassador Tamer Meligy, Consul General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in New York; H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Idris, Permanent Representative of the African Union to the United Nations; and H.E. Ambassador Ihab Awad, Permanent Representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United Nations. Also in attendance were Consul Mahmoud Khalifa and Counselor Mostafa Essam, along with members of the Egyptian community and leaders from the banking and business sectors.

The gathering reflected the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, fostering dialogue, unity, and strengthened ties between national institutions and the Egyptian diaspora in the United States. Attendees emphasized the importance of such occasions in reinforcing cooperation and highlighting the National Bank of Egypt’s vital role in supporting economic relations and serving Egyptian and Arab clients abroad.

The evening concluded in an atmosphere of fellowship and shared values, underscoring the bank’s continued commitment to community engagement and its leadership as a prominent Egyptian financial institution operating internationally.
