Huda Kattan’s Ultimate Guide to Luxury Self-Care in Dubai
Huda Kattan’s Ultimate Guide to Luxury Self-Care in Dubai

Dubai is a city synonymous with opulence and indulgence, and few know its beauty scene better than Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan. From rejuvenating massages to crystal shopping, here are her top recommendations for luxury self-care in the city.
In just a few decades, Dubai has transformed from a humble fishing village on the banks of Dubai Creek into a global metropolis known for its extravagance. Home to architectural marvels like the Burj Khalifa—the world’s tallest building—and Deep Dive Dubai—the world’s deepest pool—the city is now developing Dubai Square, a $2 billion (£1.64 billion) mega-mall set to be the largest in the world.
Huda Kattan, a beauty entrepreneur, makeup artist, and former finance professional, built Huda Beauty into a billion-dollar cosmetics empire, gaining global recognition for her sought-after eyeshadow palettes and viral products like the Easy Blur foundation. In 2023, she was named among the BBC’s 100 Women.
Yet, despite its high-energy pace, Dubai is also a haven for relaxation. It was recently crowned the World’s Best Spa Destination 2024 at the World Spa Awards.
To uncover the essence of Dubai’s self-care culture, we spoke to Kattan, who has called the city home since 2008. Born and raised in the U.S., she also spent two childhood years in the UAE. For her, moving to Dubai felt like a return home.
"It’s an incredibly fast-paced, multicultural city," she says. "Even New York feels slow in comparison!"
As the CEO of Huda Beauty, Kattan’s schedule is packed with global travel, but she always finds time for self-care. "Dubai has the best spas," she enthuses. "From massages and hammams to facials, it’s all about investing in yourself."
Dubai’s influence in the beauty world is also expanding. In 2024, Dior launched its first-ever spa in the city, and in 2025, the five-star Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab hotel will open, featuring a lavish three-story spa.
"Dubai is gaining serious recognition in beauty," says Kattan. "Even A-list celebrities are asking me, 'What’s happening in Dubai? What are the must-try treatments?'"
But self-care in Dubai isn’t limited to spa visits. With world-class shopping destinations and breathtaking coastal views, the city offers a holistic escape that rejuvenates the mind, body, and soul.
