Travelers planning a European trip are being urged to exercise caution as unofficial websites offer application services for ETIAS, the European Union’s forthcoming travel authorization system.

The official EU website confirms that ETIAS is not yet operating or accepting applications. A launch date will be announced several months before the system begins.

Unofficial application services have prompted warnings about unnecessary charges and the potential misuse of travelers’ personal and financial information.

Fly All Over advises travelers to verify new entry requirements through official government sources before making payments or submitting personal documents. The agency encourages travelers to check requirements early, particularly when their itinerary includes several countries.

Once introduced, ETIAS will apply to eligible visa-exempt travelers, including U.S. passport holders. It will not replace a Schengen visa for those who require one. Updates are available through the official EU
