Egypt is accelerating its efforts to transform real estate into a strategic export sector by adopting a new model that moves beyond temporary exhibitions toward creating permanent international sales and marketing platforms. The latest discussions between Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Eng. Randa El-Menshawy and Dr. Bassem Kalila, Chairman of Kalila Exhibitions and Conferences and organizer of the Nile Property Expo, reflect a broader governmental vision aimed at positioning Egyptian property as a globally competitive investment product.

During the meeting, Minister El-Menshawy stressed that real estate exports represent one of the key drivers of Egypt’s national economic growth strategy and an important channel for increasing foreign direct investment inflows. She highlighted the importance of promoting Egyptian developments abroad and praised the role played by Nile Property exhibitions in introducing international investors and homebuyers to the opportunities available across Egypt’s rapidly expanding urban landscape.

The discussions underscored the government’s ongoing efforts to create an investment-friendly environment through simplified procedures, investor incentives, and continued support for integrated urban development projects, particularly in new-generation cities. These initiatives are designed to improve the competitiveness of Egyptian real estate products in regional and international markets while strengthening Egypt’s position as a leading destination for property investment.

A major focus of the meeting was the presentation of the “Manazel” Project, a new initiative that will become the first permanent sales center dedicated exclusively to Egyptian real estate developers outside Egypt. Scheduled to open in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in September 2026, the center will bring together ten leading Egyptian real estate companies under one roof, offering Gulf-based investors year-round access to Egyptian property opportunities.

From a strategic perspective, the Riyadh center represents more than a commercial office. It establishes a permanent brand presence for Egypt’s real estate sector within one of the Gulf region’s most influential markets. The project also serves as a testing ground for a wider expansion strategy that includes future branches in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Qatar over the next two years.

Dr. Bassem Kalila explained that the initiative seeks to increase overseas property sales by replacing seasonal marketing activities with continuous engagement mechanisms that enable investors to explore Egyptian projects throughout the year. Such a model could significantly enhance investor confidence, facilitate decision-making processes, and broaden the international visibility of Egypt’s real estate market.

The meeting also explored the possibility of allocating a dedicated area within the Manazel center for Egypt’s Ministry of Housing. The proposed space would showcase national development projects, new cities, and strategic investment opportunities, providing international investors with direct access to information about Egypt’s urban transformation agenda.

Additionally, both sides discussed expanding cooperation through future editions of the Nile Property Expo by establishing an official Ministry of Housing pavilion. The pavilion would serve as a permanent communication platform to present national projects, provide market intelligence, and strengthen engagement with foreign investors and potential buyers.

The outcomes of the meeting indicate that Egypt is increasingly adopting a long-term institutional approach toward exporting real estate. By combining government support, private-sector marketing capabilities, and permanent international sales channels, the country aims to transform its property sector into a major source of foreign currency inflows and a cornerstone of its broader investment and economic diversification strategy.
