Egypt has recovered 48 historic artifacts from the United States during an official handover ceremony held in Los Angeles, marking another important achievement in the country’s continuing efforts to reclaim its cultural heritage.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) formally handed over the artifacts to H.E. Dr. Hossam Eldeen Aly, Consul General of Egypt in Los Angeles, as part of the ongoing cooperation between Egyptian and U.S. authorities to combat the illegal trafficking of cultural property.

During the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Hossam El-Din Ali expressed Egypt’s deep appreciation for the return of these rare artifacts to their homeland. He also praised the strong cooperation between Egypt and the United States, particularly in recovering smuggled antiquities and protecting Egypt’s rich cultural legacy.

The recovery reflects Egypt’s continued coordination with international authorities to locate and return artifacts unlawfully removed from the country, preserving them as an essential part of Egypt’s history and national identity.
