Egypt Adheres to Political Principles and Constants for the Palestinian Cause
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirms that Egypt remains committed to the political principles and constants regarding the Palestinian cause.
It emphasizes that this issue remains at the core of the Middle East and that delaying its resolution, ending the occupation, and restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people is the foundation for achieving stability in the region.
In this context, Egypt underscores its continued support for the resilience of the Palestinian people, their rights to their legitimate land and homeland, and its commitment to international law and human rights principles. Egypt reiterates its rejection of any practices that violate these rights, including settlement expansion, annexation of land, or measures aimed at displacing, forcibly evicting, or confiscating land from its rightful owners. Such practices escalate tensions, prolong displacement, and undermine peace and coexistence in the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on the international community to work urgently toward implementing the two-state solution and the establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state along the June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This must align with international legitimacy resolutions and the Quartet’s roadmap.
