Davos Healthcare has announced a directory of 651 hospitals receiving its Global Elite Five-Star Medallion, following an evaluation of more than 16,000 hospitals across 77 countries.

According to the company’s press release, the selected institutions represent approximately the top four percent of hospitals assessed within its evaluation framework.

The platform uses artificial intelligence to extract and validate publicly available information. Davos Healthcare says its assessment draws on 1.5 million public records, rather than subjective reputation surveys.

Ambassador Deborah Birx, M.D., who directs the evaluations, emphasized the importance of making performance information accessible to healthcare leaders and communities to support improvements in care.

The five-star recipients include 181 hospitals in Europe, 158 in Asia, 97 in North America, 93 in the Middle East, 53 in Africa, 42 in South America and 27 in Oceania.

The company also announced a revenue pledge funded through Star Medallion licensing fees to support healthcare institutions in resource-limited settings.

Hospital administrators and healthcare organizations can explore the directory through the company’s website and request further information about institutional services and licensing.
