This transformation could influence how startups organize their workforces. Smaller companies may be able to achieve greater commercial output with fewer employees, while demand may rise for professionals who can combine software expertise with customer strategy and business development.

The broader significance of these discussions is that AI is no longer defined only by model performance. The next competitive cycle will depend on the ability to convert technical capabilities into secure, scalable and economically sustainable products.

For established software companies, the challenge is to adapt existing business models without weakening current revenue streams.
