During an interview with Extra, Mellencamp, daughter of musician John Mellencamp, opened up about her diagnosis. "My cancer started as skin melanoma on my back, and it metastasized to my brain and lungs. But now, I'm seeing significant progress," she shared. Despite facing brain tumors, lung metastases, and a tough treatment regimen, Mellencamp remains hopeful.

In a light-hearted moment, she joked about her prognosis, saying, "50/50? I wouldn’t buy a car that’s only gonna drive 50 percent of the time!"
