Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau Announces Celebration of Arabic Language Day Washington, D.C. — December 5, 2025

The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Washington, D.C. has announced a distinguished online event to mark Arabic Language Day, scheduled for December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (EST). The program reaffirms Egypt’s commitment to advancing the Arabic language as a foundation of cultural identity, scholarship, and linguistic creativity.

This year’s keynote presentation will be delivered by Lamees Fadl, Lecturer in Arabic & English Language and Literature at The City University of New York (CUNY). Her lecture, titled:

“Arabic Language: Heritage, Identity, and Contemporary Creativity,”

will explore the evolution of the Arabic language, its enduring role in shaping cultural identity, and the innovative ways it continues to inspire contemporary expression.

Leadership and Cultural Commitment

The event is organized under the leadership of

Dr. Nermine A. Sabry, Cultural Attaché and Director of the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Washington.

Dr. Sabry continues to strengthen the Bureau’s mission of promoting Egyptian culture and fostering meaningful educational and cultural exchanges across the United States.

Acknowledgment of Long-Standing Partners

The Bureau also acknowledges its long-standing partner, EgyptAir, whose continued collaboration supports cultural and educational initiatives that connect Egyptian heritage with diverse audiences.

Event Access
